Artist Statement

While driving back from Tuktoyaktuk in the summer of 2018 I was reflecting on the nature of my photographs and acknowledging some really are to document and others are more artistic with line, colour and texture being the critical elements. I am most delighted when these two come together capturing “Nature’s Artistry”.

My Alberta work has included the magic of Writing on Stone Provincial Park and Red Rock Coulee in addition to the grand landscape and features of Red Deer River Valley around Drumheller.

As I travel this vast awe inspiring country I have kayaked Haida Gwaii as well as the West Coast of BC, Driven the Dempster Highway to Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk, Backpacked the West Coast Trail and in the Purcell Mountains in addition to Trekking in Nepal.

Having displayed my photographs in the Drumheller Library, and continue to present slides on Travel Night at the Library I am now delighted to share them here, in this gallery, along with so many talented artists. ”
